PERFECTLY SMOOTH FINISH
FiberSmooth is a material from the PVB family. Its greatest advantage is the ease of processing, which involves smoothing it with isopropyl alcohol (IPA). The model immersed in the liquid or exposed to its vapors is partially dissolved, thanks to which the outer contours better bond with each other and hide the boundaries of the layers. At the same time, the entire model acquires a porcelain-like, shiny surface. In the case of transparent colors and the colorless version, it is easy to obtain almost completely transparent walls.

3D printing with FiberSmooth can be compared to PLA. It is a print-friendly material and it’s perfect for novice printers. However, it is necessary to keep in mind that the adhesion between the layers is weaker, so we recommend a higher bed temperature in order to prevent the model from warping. PVB has low shrinkage and is odorless.

The following parameters are only suggested print settings for this material. To ensure the best print quality, it is necessary to choose the appropriate settings for a specific printer and printing conditions.

FiberSatin is the newest filament from Fiberlogy. Thanks to a semi-matt, satin finish, it provides for an unusual appearance of the model. It effectively reduces the visibility of layers, providing a uniform print surface. The filament is perfect for creating models with high aesthetic values, both as a hobby and in creating ready-made small-series products. FiberSatin successfully prints with the typical PLA settings (e.g. Fiberlogy Easy PLA).
