UNI-T UT387A wall scanner
The UNI-T UT387A wall scanner is a practical and easy-to-use tool that allows you to quickly detect live wires, metal and wooden components located in walls. As a result, it significantly reduces the risk of damage to hidden installations during drilling. The UT387A is perfect for do-it-yourselfers, installers and construction crews carrying out repair and installation work.
Accurate detection
The device supports two measurement modes: StudScan for standard depth detection and ThickScan for deeper scanning. In StudScan mode, it locates ferrous and non-ferrous metals and wood to a depth of up to 19 mm, while live wires can be detected up to 50 mm. ThickScan mode extends the detection range of wood and metals to 28.5 mm, providing greater accuracy with thicker walls.
Clear signals and safe operation
The scanner is equipped with LED signaling and an audible signal (buzzer) that immediately indicates when an element is detected in the wall. An auto-calibration function and a miscalibration alarm provide additional operational safety. The UT387A automatically shuts off when finished working, saving power and extending battery life.
Handy and convenient to use
The lightweight and compact case makes the UT387A fit well in the hand, and its operation is intuitive even for less experienced users. The device is powered by a classic 9V battery, which you can easily replace in the field. It's a reliable and convenient tool to have on hand before any wall drilling.
