RainPoint Rain Sensor

The RainPoint Rain Sensor is a practical solution for automatic irrigation systems. It works by using a mechanism that detects rainfall and automatically stops watering when it detects more than 3 mm of rainfall. This saves water, avoids overwatering your plants and ensures that the system works only when needed. The product is compatible with most controllers with solenoid valves and fits standard garden installations.

Effective operation based on rainfall

The sensor keeps the circuit closed until it detects a certain level of rainfall. When more than 3 mm of rain hits the sensor's surface, the water-absorbing plate expands, immediately breaking the circuit and stopping watering. Once the sensor dries out, the circuit closes again and the system returns to normal operation. The entire process takes 2 to 5 minutes, ensuring quick response to changing weather conditions.

Simple installation to irrigation controllers

Connecting the RainPoint sensor is intuitive - just plug one wire into the C (common) port and the other into the R (sensor) port on the controller. Thanks to its compatibility with most models of solenoid valves, there is no need for additional adapters or installation modifications.

Adjustable drying time

The sensor is equipped with a vent ring that allows you to adjust the time it takes to turn the system back on after rainfall. The wider-open vents speed up the drying process, which can be useful in sunny and windy locations. Under standard conditions, the sensor returns to operation after about 4 hours, and takes up to 3 days to dry completely.

Quick test without water

The function to test operation does not require contact with water. Just press the protrusion on top of the housing - if the connection is correct, there will be a characteristic "click" of the solenoid valve, and watering will stop. This is a quick way to verify the correctness of the installation.
