The Velbus Signum IoT Gateway VMBSIG-21 is the smart interface between the Velbus home automation system, the digital meter, and external devices via Modbus RTU. Like the VMBSIG-20, this device is based on the powerful Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 and serves as the central hub for your installation. It offers full integration with Home Assistant and access to the Velbus Cloud platform, allowing you to monitor and control your system from anywhere in the world. Thanks to its additional connectivity, the VMBSIG-21 takes functionality even further: ò Integrated P1 port (RJ12): directly read consumption and injection data from your digital meter. ò P1 output port: daisy-chain the P1 data to extra devices or dongles. ò Dual RS485 interface (GND, A+, B-): directly connect to sensors, heat pumps, EV chargers and other Modbus RTU devices. With Home Assistant, you can not only integrate their data but also control them. ò All existing features of the VMBSIG-20 are preserved: wireless programming of your Velbus installation, automatic time synchronization, history and logging, network connectivity, and cloud integration. The VMBSIG-21 integrates seamlessly with Home Assistant, the popular open-source home automation platform.
